2 Days in Grand Teton National Park
Ansel Adam’s was inspired by Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, and it’s easy to see why. The Teton Range is about 40 miles of mountains expanding into the sky in hues of blue and purple, with the Snake River zip zagging through the lush landscape, and Moose and Bison grazing on its expansive plains.
Where to Stay
The best area to stay in if you want to do a hotel instead of camping is at the park’s south entrance near Jackson where there are many hotels with a cozy cabin type of vibe. Here are a few well-rated ones I found below.
The Virginian Lodge in Jackson
The Alpenhof in Teton Village
Bentwood Inn in Wilson
Stay at Jenny Lake Campground
There are several campgrounds in Grand Teton National Park, but Jenny Lake Campground is a short walk to the stunning Jenny Lake with gorgeous mountain views reflecting in the water. Jenny Lake is one of the highlights of Grand Teton. Book a campsite
Go On a Relaxing River Float
If you only have a short amount of time in the park, definitely go on a Snake River float with Triangle X Ranch. This is a relaxing adventure down the river that’s incredibly serene. We did the sunset dinner float, which started with a tasty outdoor barbecue of chicken, beef, mashed potatoes and salad. Delish! After filling your belly, you’ll climb into the large boats and start cruising downstream with the Tetons in full view. We spotted a lot of bald eagles and beavers along the way.

Hike around Jenny Lake
If you drive to Jenny Lake, go to the visitor center parking (and get there early!). From here, you can take the hiking path 4 miles around the lake, or jump on a ferry to boat across the water to the more mountainous side. On the mountainous side there are several hikes to choose from the in lush terrain with waterfalls and tall trees. We stayed lakeside because of time constraints, and even saw a black bear along the way!
We rode the ferry on the way back, wind in our hair!
