Key's View is the best drive-up vista in Joshua Tree National Park. From the top you can see the Coachella Valley and the San Andreas Fault. You can also catch a view of Southern California's two highest mountains, Mount San Jacinto and Mount Gorgonio. On a clear day you can see California's largest lake, the Salton Sea.
Visit the Biblical Statues of Desert Christ Park
Desert Christ Park is a museum of sculptures located on the hillside of Yucca Valley. There are more than 40 large white biblical statues here sculpted by Frank Antone Martin.
Visit the Ghost Town of Amboy
The ghost town of Amboy was once a major stop along Route 66 until Interstate 40 was opened. The city only has 10 remaining buildings, Roy's gas station and motel cafe being the biggest landmarks. You can stop in for a Root Beer and wander through some of the abandoned hotel rooms with art installations.
